Oh, hello there! Are we going to be travelling companions? I hope so, because you look like a Very Nice Person. If you would like to help me travel around the world, I would be Very Happy. Here are some guidelines to making this my Best Trip Ever:
1. Please use the cameras to take pictures of us (or just plain-old loveable me!) in the interesting places we go. I find lots of things interesting, especially famous monuments, museums and landmarks, but if you're not going anyplace like that, a diner is nice too.
2. I am a very small monster and I cannot write very well (my friend Rob helped me with the directions), so please fill in this Diary for me. Make sure you make entries in the Companion Log (so I can remember who you are), and the Photo Log (so Rob and I know what each picture is). Also make sure you put some entries in my Travel Diary.
3. I would like to travel with lots of different people, so please limit yourself to four pictures before giving me to someone else.
4. Do not develop the film. Rob will do that when he gets this entire package.
5. I love to travel, but I would eventually like to get home, so please do not hold on to me for more than two weeks.
6. I like souvenirs and presents, so please make sure any souvenirs are kept in the travel box. If you would like to put a pin or vest on me, I would be happy to wear it during my vacation.
7. TO THE PERSON WHOSE FOUR PICTURES FINISH THE LAST ROLL: Please mail the Entire Package, including me, the cameras, this diary, and all my souvenirs back to Rob. We will develop all the film and post pictures and diary entries on my web site. (This is Rob. I'll do most of that work--he can't even spell Internet.) Rob will send you the money for postage and, as a thank you, a copy of all the pictures and the diary.
TO EVERYONE ELSE: If your four pictures are not the last, please pass me on; don't send me home. But you can still send a note to Rob, asking for the photos once I do get home. Either way I'll send you a note to say Hi.
If you would like a copy of your pictures, send me a note with some money for reprints and postage. [Note: Unless you would like a CD]
