So I had some problems with this computer program, and I asked the author to look at it.

He did, and he told me there was good news and bad news.

* * *

The good news was that the program was, in fact, faulty.

* * *

The bad news was he wasn't going to do anything about it.

* * *

I mentioned to him that I must have missed the good news; would he please tell me again?

* * *

He did.

* * *

I said hey, what's the point of good news like that?

* * *

He said that it meant that I was right and I could gloat about it.

* * *

So, I've got good news and bad news.

* * *

The good news it that I'm gloating.

* * *

The bad news is that I don't know what I'm gloating about.
